About us

Temple Farm is part of the historic Arniston Estate in Midlothian. Generations of the Cochran family have farmed on the estate. We currently have a small flock of Ryeland sheep and we produce tweed fabric and other products all made from the wool of our sheep. Ryelands are one of Britain's oldest heritage breeds originating from Herefordshire.

All of our products are made is Scotland and are 100% wool. The tweed is woven in the Scottish Borders by A. Elliot Weavers based in Selkirk and are one of the last working mills in the borders today.

Our story

We believe in sustainable and ecologically friendly products in today's society of plastics and synthetics. Our ethos is straight from the farm to fashion and beyond. We are creating our own range of homewares from cushions, throws to clocks and lampshades. Along side this we offer a bespoke tailoring service. Our tweed fabric is available by the metre, see our shop for details.
